Open Week Next Week at Tremendous Tulfarris

Tulfarris Golf Club will run its Open Week next week through the August Bank Holiday. One of the most picturesque locations for a golf course, situated on Blessington Lakes, Tulfarris is definitely a treat for any golfer. Their Open Week fixtures are as follows:

Monday 28th July – Singles

Tuesday 29th July – Seniors Singles

Wednesday 30th – Juniors & 3 Person Scramble

Thursday 31st July – Singles

Friday 1st August – 2 Person Team Event

Saturday 2nd August – Singles

Sunday 3rd August – Fourball

Monday 4th August – Blue Tee Singles

3rd Charlie McGoldrick Cup takes place at Enniscrone

The 3rd Charlie McGoldrick Cup will take place at Enniscrone Golf Club on Friday 29th & Saturday 30th August 2014. Charlie was the PGA Professional at Enniscrone Golf Club for 21 years, until his early retirement due to ill health in March 2011. He sadly passed away in August of 2011.Enniscrone GC
This is the third year of The Charlie McGoldrick Cup and it has proved a very successful event, with people playing in it from all over Ireland and beyond. The format is unique in that it can be won by a Lady, Gent or Junior Golfer and they can be either a member or visitor, with the best score over the two days of the competition to count. So that means if a competitor plays on Friday then this is the score that will be accepted to win the Cup, if a competitor plays both days then the Friday score will be accepted for the Cup but the Saturday score will be eligible for the Saturday competition as there will be prizes available for both. I, for one and I’m sure I won’t be in the minority here, will try to play both days!

Open Week at The Ballesteros Course

The Ballesteros Course at The Heritage will host its Open Week from Monday 21st – Sunday 27th July with some great events and prices to match. The following is the rundown of events next week:

Monday 21st July – Singles

Tuesday 22nd July – 4 Person Team Event

Wednesday 23rd July – Singles

Thursday 24th July – 4 Person Team Event

Friday 25th July – Singles

Sunday 27th July – Singles

The entry fees for the midweek Singles competitions are €25 per person with the Sunday Singles at €30pp, the team events cost only €100 per team. There will be prizes worth over €3,000 to be played so to be in with a chance to win just call 057-8642321 or email golf@theheritage.com.

The wonderful Waterford Castle Golf Club will host its Open Week (and a bit!) from Friday 11th to Saturday 19th July with many various events on to suit every golfer. The schedule of competitions is as follows
